Sputtering of Cu/Ni(100)
------------------------

5 keV Ar bombardment of a 5313 atom target, consisting of
a c(2x2) layer of Cu on a Ni(100) substrate.

Vibrational and inelastic effects are included, but the vibrational
displacements are calculated on the basis of pure Cu, and no surface
corrections to these are made.

The target surface layers are relaxed.

The potentials were derived by the author. The Cu-Cu and Ni-Ni
parameters are fitted to bulk Cu and Ni (lattice constant, cohesive
energy, elastic constants and vacancy formation energy). The Cu-Ni
parameters are fitted using a geometric means approach.

961 impact points are used. Note: because of the c(2x2) surface
structure, the impact zone sampled is larger than would be required
for a clean Cu or Ni surface.

See M.A. Karolewski, Surface Science 440 (1999) 87-102 for background
information. (The simulations discussed in that paper were based on
these input files.)
